Anemonies in Glass Jar

I have to confess to liking this one.  It is not often an artist says this; the artist's curse is that they only see fault in their own work.  This one seemed to go together in a more pleasing way than usual which is why I held on to it for the Royal Oil Painters Institute annual exhibition which opens tomorrow at the Mall Galleries in London.

This small pastel depicts a typical weekend breakfast ideally with time to read the Sunday papers and sip the coffee.  (My husband even made the damson jam that accompanies it.)  The pastel is currently showing with the Guild of Norwich Painters at Westcliffe Gallery in Sheringham, Norfolk.

Olive oil, capers and tomatoes

It has been a while since I showed anything here, but i have not been idle, just very distracted moving back into our house after 21 months of re-build after our fire. Lots of work to show you that I have been too busy to post; This is one of eight paintings available at 'A feast of food in art' exhibition, currently showing at Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London. The exhibition runs until 6th December.
